     I am gauging what to advise you by what I have gone through and one of the very best ways to prepare you for dating as a 40+, senior 50+, thru 60+ and beyond is to buy or go to the library and get the books I have on this site.  Not only will you get lots of ideas, but you will laugh too.  Along with self esteem, a sense of humor is something you will need to proceed with this goal of getting yourself into dating in this day and age.
